Privacy policy

This page names the services configured by this guide, their observed request hosts, and the controls for optional tracking. Ad creatives and an activated video may contact additional vendor partners; those vendors control their own downstream requests.

Who is responsible

The guide at throwfoodforanimals.com is operated by the editor reachable at [email protected]. That address is the contact for access, correction, deletion and objection requests, and for anything in this policy.

What loads, and when

There is no account and no newsletter. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra load by default on the first view unless you have pressed Reject or your browser sends GPC / Do Not Track. YouTube is different: its player loads only after you press the video poster, independently of the tracking choice. The cookie banner is a notice with an Accept and a Reject button, not a gate that blocks the guide.

Google Analytics 4

GA4 runs under measurement ID G-QFM14G76H3. It records the page address, referrer, approximate location derived from the request, device and browser type, and interaction events. IP addresses are not logged by GA4, and advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) start denied before any config command. Under this site's default-on configuration they are then updated to granted for a fresh visit, before the tag loads. analytics_storage starts granted and stays granted in the command queue, including after Reject; Reject prevents the GA4 network loader from running on the reloaded page. ads_data_redaction is enabled. This is not a claim that all visits remain in denied consent mode. You can refuse measurement with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and you can block the request with any content blocker.

Microsoft Clarity

Clarity project z5p1vg9xjl records how the page is used: clicks, scroll depth, and a session replay of the layout. Clarity masks text in form fields by default, and this site has no form that asks for personal data. The recording is processed by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Pressing Reject stops the Clarity tag from being created on the next load; you can also block clarity.ms in your browser.

Adsterra advertising

Adsterra serves the in-flow Native Banner (unit 31998378) and the fixed Social Bar (unit 31998379) through bicea.org. Adsterra and its demand partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to cap frequency, measure clicks, and — where the law allows — personalize the creative. This site keeps Adsterra's adult advertising switch off and declares publisher 3403020 in ads.txt. Use Reject to stop this site's Adsterra loader. Google Ad Settings controls Google advertising, not a universal Adsterra opt-out; industry or device controls may cover only participating providers. Adsterra's own policy is at adsterra.com/privacy-policy.

YouTube

The guide clip is a facade: the page shows a poster image, and the youtube-nocookie YouTube frame is created only when you press play. Once it exists, Google may set YouTube cookies and record the view under its own policy. The same clip is linked directly on youtube.com for anyone who prefers to watch there.

Default load, Reject, and your choice

With no stored choice, the page treats you as granted: it loads Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra on the first view, then shows the banner so you can withdraw. Pressing Reject writes {"choice":"denied"} to tffa_consent, sets the three Google advertising signals to denied (analytics_storage remains granted), and reloads the page; the reloaded document reads the stored denial before the loader runs, so the Adsterra and Clarity scripts are never created and GA4's gtag.js is not requested. The denial is remembered for 180 days. Pressing Accept writes granted and keeps the services on. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner at any time. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the site treats that as Reject.

Retention and processing choices

The tffa_consent key expires after 180 days; tffa_socialbar_closed lasts until site data is cleared. Browser cookie expiry and server-side event retention are different. Google and Adsterra control retention under their linked policies; we have not confirmed a property-specific GA4 event retention setting or an Adsterra fixed retention period and do not claim one. Clarity documents ordinary playback retention of 30 days and labeled/favorited sessions and heatmaps of 9 months. The controls here describe actual default-on behavior, not a guarantee that every jurisdiction permits it or a legal assessment of your circumstances.

Request hosts and contact email

The first-view browser check on 30 October 2026 observed www.googletagmanager.com, www.google-analytics.com, www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms and regional *.clarity.ms hosts, plus bicea.org for both ad units. No YouTube frame was present before play. Hostnames and ad creatives may vary between visits. The published contact address uses Cloudflare Email Routing and the mail-hub Worker, with an editor mailbox mirror handled by Gmail. Sending email shares the message, sender address and attachments with those email processors; no email processor is loaded as a tracking script on this page. Messages are retained for responding to the request; no fixed automatic deletion period is currently verified.

Your rights and complaints

You can ask for a copy of any email you sent us, ask us to correct a page, ask us to delete a mailbox thread, or object to the analytics and ad processing described above. Write to [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Because there is no login, we cannot look up a visitor by name; a request about analytics data is answered by explaining the aggregate reports we hold.
